During this whole Chick-Fil-A brouhaha, while I haven't agreed with or supported Chick-Fil-A's bigoted stance against gays and gay marriage, I didn't think that it was fair to keep out a business based on the actions, words or beliefs of its founder. I felt the same way when people were protesting the building of a mosque in New York City. How many of the people that claimed it was okay to ban the building of a mosque because they didn't agree with the ideology now feel differently when, instead of Muslims, anti-gay Christian ideology is being questioned? Either a town or a city has the right to ban establishments whose ideology they don't agree with (chicken restaurants, porn shops, mosques) or they don't have that right. Either both a mosque and a chicken restaurant can be denied the right to build in a city because of their ideologies or NEITHER can be denied. Which is it to be?
If towns can't bar a Chick-Fil-A, they can't bar porn shops, either - or mosques
