The Pirates of The Caribbean star Johnny Depp was hoping to rival The X Factor with his new song "Jesus Stag Night Club," but it seems that his bid for a Christmas chart success has got him into trouble with Christians.
Lee Douglas, spokesman for the religious activist group The Christian Coalition, has pronounced judgment on Depp, saying "he will burn in hell for his filth."

How would Lee Douglas know anything about it? He's not a "Real Christian™."

I wonder what the outburst would have been if he had the balls to title it Allah Stag Night Club?

Bet he would have gotten much more attention and real threats. Pretty similar to the cartoonist who hid for his life in I think it was Sweden or something. I think it was in poor taste and he should have known it would offend some people.

I dont plan to listen to it and "sigh" I still think he is a great actor.

There would have been plenty of outrage from the Muslims.

The bigger question and more intriguing question is what would have been what the "Real Christians" have said about it then!

Bottom line, all of the religions need to get over themselves!

I thought the whole "Prosperity Gospel" shtick meant that since Johnny Depp is rich and famous he *must* be favored by God. Or did I miss the "richer = more Christian" message people like the Christian Coalition keeps sending out?

Rightwing christians like these clowns are a goofy lot. They don't bother w/ Jesus' concern about the poor, they read Leviticus rather than the Sermon on the Mt. they see a constitutional marriage amendment more important that taking care of poor children, they see *profit rather than Prophets" in the gospels - if they actually read them. The agonize over the war on christmas which is perpetrated actually by the capitalist class and then gleefully pepper spray or shot patrons at wally world others in order to get a cheap trinket. They save a small % at wally world and complain that the 99% is too lazy to work, not realizing that wally world sells mostly cheap knock off Chinese goods (and poor wages and no benefits for its workers).

This is the group to follow when trying to get a clear explanation of things.

lately, the Christians are in an uproar over "Holiday Trees" it seems they are offendeded that people don't call them by their true name...

Winter Solstice Trees!!! exposing the war on Christmas has exposed the who is waging the war and who the real victims are..... these Alleged Christians are not the victims of any war on Christmas

Merry Commercemas

didn't he play willy wonka, which sells Choc Easter eggs and bunnys, and even Chocolate Santa's?? Johhny is going to heaven for sure!!!!!!!!!

Everybody but them. I just can't imagine spending so much of my time basically being a @!$%#ing busybody.

Reminds me of the old joke about the guy who goes to heaven, and St. Peter is showing him around the different rooms.

"Here's the Lutherans, and here's the Unitarians, and over there's the Methodists."

They come up to a locked door, and the guy says, "What's in there?"

St. Peter says, "Oh, we can't go in there. That's where the Catholics are, and they think they're the only ones here."

I am sure there will be a long line to enter Hell. I can see many many Bishops, Monsignors and Popes in that line since they all seem to be disregarding their duties as they live in mansions, eating abundant food, drinking spirits and all in all living lives of the lavish when they have all taken a vow of poverty. And then Evangelicals that build Crystal Palaces and drive luxury cars. Makes one wonder...

Wow, this guy and his friends really do need to do some serious reading on what Jesus said. I think there's a book on that. Pretty easily found too, its in just about every store that has a book section.

What's it called again?.... Oh yeah, the bible. New testament section. Its a real interesting read actually. Those twits just might learn something good.

Jeff Dunham does do a excellent job!. The difference between the Christian coalition and Islamics is the christians will tell you your going to hell, the islamics might send you there( that is if there really is a hell ). Well thankfully we can still make songs and such about whatever we want, unless of course it offends some hot topic group.( used to be the hot topic group were christians ).

Why is everything that comes out of these people's mouths hatred? Can't they once espouse some form of Christian love? Don't they realize that the more they act like this, the more people will leave organized religion?

Count me in.

He is a brilliant producer. Saw "HUGO" this past weekend. What a brilliant production.

But, of course, I am sure there are Christian coalitions dissecting that movie to find even sub-atomic sized morsel of something to claim it's anti-Christian and it must be boycotted.

How do these wackos know who's going to heaven and who's going to hell? Certainly there are so-called "good Christians" who are shoveling coal in the afterlife instead of floating in heaven with feather wings.

They've been stealing peeks at the "Naughty" and "Nice" lists. Unfortunately I think they have them mixed up.

Hypocrite Christians pray to an imaginary God, (good or evil, I don't know and neither do they) to

change his plan for the world. If God has a plan and you pray for him or her to change it so you

can have your way, well I think you lost your way. I'm not going to prejudge here but I have as

much right to guess who will or will not go to heaven. I don't claim to be holy or righteous. I

just don't think the christians have any idea about what they are doing. The things that I have

heard lately for the GOP is so far from what the teachings of Jesus were about, that I doubt

any of these self proclaimed christians will get to heaven or hell for that matter. My favorite

thing about Jesus is "Jesus Christ Super star" the broadway musical. The music was great, the

message clear and the questions raised have kept me thinking about Jesus the superstar as

something to sing about.
