Congresswoman Michele Bachmann appeared on CBS’ Face the Nation today, and was asked by moderator Bob Schieffer about her recent comments about God and Hurricane Irene and if she truly believes that God sends messages through the weather.

Bachmann did not immediately address the issue, first discussing the destruction all along the East Coast, before claiming she was “speaking metaphorically” and explaining her personal religious views.
